Myanmar’s historic election in 2015 is likely to transform the country into dramatic changes. In the immediate post-election period, however, many questions remain unclear. These include how Myanmar can form the new government, the role of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi and NLD, the roles and positions of ethnic parties and ethnic armed groups, and power of the military in the country’s politics and economy. These issues will be discussed in a talk by Yeni, an Editor of Irrawaddy Magazine.

Moderator: Dr. Amporn Jirattikorn (Visiting Scholar at CSEAS, Kyoto University)
