The workshop \u201cYoung Scholars on Southeast Asian Studies\u201d was held in Taipei, Taiwan in November 24\uff7025, 2017 under a collaboration between CSEAS, Kyoto University, Japan and CSEAS, National Chengchi University, Taiwan. The workshop was prepared under the initiatives of Prof. Mieno Fumiharu, Kyoto University and Assoc. Prof. Alan Yang, National Chengchi University. After the keynote speech of Dr. Michael Hsiang, Academia Sinica, and the guest comment from De. Maris Diokno, University of Philippine, young researchers from Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia presented their research. The topics of their presentations were diverse, and included political science, economics, international relations, history, museology, archeology. This stimulated a lively interdisciplinary discussion. Three Japanese participants were dispatched by the fund of IPCR (Type VII).<\/p>\n
