Abstract<\/strong>:
\nThis research explores the persistence of cleavages in Thai politics
\nsince the 2000s. We attribute this persistence to the organizational
\ninnovations of the Thai Rak Thai party. In contrast to prior studies
\nthat identified the TRT as a populist party with little organization,
\nwe find that the TRT put in place systematized practices that deepened
