He and his volunteers decided to transform the rural<br \/>\nlife by constructing cement bridges in collaboration with the rural<br \/>\ncommunities. They have not received any budget from the<br \/>\ngovernment(s) and solicited the donation from the society by online.<br \/>\nWith his achievement, he received nine awards.<br \/>\nHis talk is on his experiences.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>2nd Speaker<\/strong>: Dr. Erwiza Erman (Senior Researcher, LIPI)<br \/>\n<strong>Title<\/strong>: Trajectory of Diamond Trade in Indonesia: Past and Present<br \/>\n<strong>Abstract<\/strong>:<br \/>\nDiamond is one of the most valuable, easily traded mineral resources,<br \/>\nwhich can be brought to meet consumers anywhere both locally,<br \/>\nnationally and globally. Until the 18th century, diamonds were traded<br \/>\nfrom mines in India (Golconda), and Indonesia (Kalimantan). The<br \/>\ndiamond trade became increasingly crowded after the discovery of<br \/>\ndiamonds in Brazil in the 18th century, and in 19th century in South<br \/>\nAfrica. Diamond is believed not only to bring good luck, but also as a<br \/>\nsymbol of commitment, social status and even financing civil war.
