プロジェクトテーマ	How to Transform International Migration into a Source of Growth and ASEAN Community Building? Case Studies of Cambodian Migrant Workers in Thailand and Malaysia
プロジェクト概要	The study aims to examine the relationships between migration and development and between regional cooperation and regional migration governance regime. Based on the conceptual framework of these two relationships, it will then look into the driving forces and impacts of Cambodian migrant workers in Thailand and Malaysia. The findings from these two comparative case studies can be translated into related policy recommendations in order to transform the international migration into one of the driving forces for economic development for both sending and receiving countries and ASEAN community building process. It argues that since the international migration is an irreversible phenomenon, it needs to be addressed from a social, political, economic, and institutional transformative approaches; which means how to convert international migration into a positive factor for regional development and integration
