Background
The National Council of Churches in Bangladesh (NCC-B) founded community Health Care Project-CHCP, a national level NGO in 1974. Historical evaluation of CHCP lies with the name Christian Health Care Project. And it brought a change in the name as Community Health Care Project in1984. Starting with primary health care and family planning activities CHCP gradually shifted to the needs of the poor and most vulnerable section of the society especially the children and women and later changes development strategies and interventions to sustainable development. CHCP has been gradually limiting its services delivery and creating access and availability of service from the government as well as agencies through Right Based Approach.

Vision
CHCP aims for a sustainable development to secure prosperity, dignity and honor of the poor and disadvantaged groups by ensuring a healthy and harmonious community life through participation.

Mission
To follow the Savior Jesus in working with the poor and disadvantaged group in the field of health, education, justice and poverty eradication through His Love without any discrimination of race, sex and religion

Legal Status: Registered under Department of Social Welfare, NGO Affairs Bureau and Microcredit Regulatory Authority.
