Background
PAPRI initially was a development endeavor of SHAPLA NEER (Citizensf Committee in Japan for Overseas Support), performing its development works in Bangladesh since 1986. It was then widely known as Community Development Center (CDC) and earns accolades for its development intervention. In July 1999, PAPRI commenced as an independent entity with some important development initiatives carried over from SHAPLA NEER, Bangladesh.

Vision
The vision of PAPRI is that target people will have socio-economic development with capacity, empowerment and respect in the society through mobilization of local resources. The will act as development partners as a whole, so thereby reflect peace and harmony in the society.

Mission
To mobilize local resources to alleviate poverty and establish a just, equitable and respectful life of the socially distressed people. To have a just society we are challenging poverty through the mobilizing and utilizing of local resources to develop capacity of human, social capital of the target people.

Legal Status: Registered under NGO Affairs Bureau, Joint Stock Company and Micro credit Regulatory Authority.
