Background
UDOY is a non-profitable, non-political secular and non-government development organization. ITS literary meaning is flourishing towards advancement. UDOY came into existence in January 1996 at Mirzapur upazilla of Tangail District in response to the fleetness of the locality by the active initiative of local social workers, education and philanthropists.
Vision:
UDOY aspires for a society free from starvation, oppression and deprivation through self-actualization and resource mobilization where every individual will be able to live in peace and communal harmony by enjoying the rightful share of the resources belonging to the society
Mission:
UDOY follows non-directive, bottom up and participatory development approach for the effective implementation of its programs. It emphasizes on peoplefs participation in need assessment, planning, implementation and decision-making process for making the program socially accepted, people oriented and sustainable. The organization acts as a facilitator to ensure peoplefs active and equal participation in development process.
Legal Status: Registered under Department of social service & Micro credit Regulatory Authority and NGO Affairs Bureau.
Working Area: Tangail, Gazipur, Dhaka & Kurigram districts
