To clarify the soil characteristics and the related factors controlling agricultural production in the tropics for establishing the measures towards sustainable land use and land rehabilitation, we are evaluating the status and change of the soils as agricultural bases through quantification of soil organic matter dynamics in the monsoon area (Thailand) and the rainforest area (Indonesia).
