 The 34th Southeast Asia Seminar on
    “New concept building for sustainable humanosphere and society from the equatorial zone of South East Asia”

The Southeast Asia Seminar, which has been held each summer since 1976, offers four days of intensive lectures that provide a survey of the nature, culture, society, economy, and other aspects of the region and the basic knowledge needed to understand the concept of area studies.

Application

1.Date	The week of September 20 to 23, 2010

3.Venue	LIPI Jakarta Office, Jakarta, Indonesia（Jalan Jendral Gatot Subroto 10 Jakarta Selatan 12710, Indonesia）
4.Qualification Requirements	Participants are expected to attend all the lectures during the four-day seminar. Please make your own arrangements for travel to and accommodations in Jakarta. Owing to logistical constraints, we may not be able to accommodate all the applications.
5.Number of Participants	35 people
6.Seminar fee	The seminar is free of charge and open to the public.
7.Travel Subsidy	Only for participants from by airplane. 1.5 million Rupiah maximum.
8.Application Forms	（1）Application Form （2）Motivation Letter: We expect from you to write a motivation letter, 1-2 pages long (minimum of 200 words, maximum of 400), with a detailed presentation of your motive for applying to the Program. （3）Publication List Including each paper’s title, all the authors, journal, volume-number and year
9.Application Method	Fill in application form (PDF/Word). Then you send Application Form, Motivation Letter and Publication List by e-mail to CSEAS (summer_com@cseas.kyoto-u.ac.jp).
10.Deadline for applications	Wednesday, August, 25, 2010
11.Participant selection	Applications are reviewed by the ICIAR and CSEAS. Applicants who pass the application review stage will get e-mail until August 31, 2010.
