- Film Title:Orapronobis (Fight for Us)
- Synopsist:In 1985, in the obscure town of Dolores, the Orapronobis, a vigilante group
and religious cult under the leadership of Kumander Kontra (Bembol Roco),
murders a foreign priest who gave the last rites to an alleged rebel, who
was also executed by the same group. After the success of the 1986 EDSA
revolt, all political prisoners are released, including Jimmy Cordero (Phillip
Salvador), an ex-priest-turned-underground revolutionary. Not long after,
Jimmy marries a human rights activist, Trixie (Dina Bonnevie), and becomes
a human rights advocate himself. Despite Trixie’s protests, Jimmy and Trixie’s
brother, Rolan (William Lorenzo), join a fact-finding mission to Dolores
led by Sister Marie (Ginnie Sobrino) to investigate the latest massacre
perpetrated by the Orapronobis. There Jimmy meets Esper (Gina Alajar),
his ex-girlfriend. He finds out that he has a son with her, Camilo (R.R.
Herrera) but they agree to keep Jimmy’s identity from the boy. Meanwhile,
with the blessings of the military, the Orapronobis step up their acts
of terror. Jimmy’s group is forced to evacuate the townspeople to the town
church, then later to Manila. In Manila, Jimmy exposes the Orapronobis
as a band of thugs on TV. After the show, he and Rolan are ambushed. Jimmy
survives, but Rolan is killed. Shortly after, soldiers raid the refugee
center with a masked man who identifies several of the barrio folk as rebels.
The remaining refugees, led by Esper, and the human rights activists bring
the case of illegal arrests to court. But after the hearing, Esper and
her son themselves are abducted by the Orapronobis. Esper is raped by Kumander
Kontra in front of her son. She fights back and shoots Kontra. Before dying,
Kontra goes on a rampage, killing all prisoners. Later, the military bring
the casualties back to Dolores, saying these were rebels killed in an encounter
with the military. Jimmy weeps over the bodies of Esper and his son. Back
in Manila, Jimmy contacts his old colleague from the underground.

- A decent man who steps outside the law finds himself falling into an abyss.
Peping (Coco Martin) is a young man studying to become a policeman. He
has just married his long-time girlfriend Cecille (Mercedes Cabral), with
whom he has a baby. Between school, his wife, and the baby, money is scarce
for Peping, and an old friend, Abyong (Jhong Hilario), tells him he can
make good money by helping out some local loan sharks with their collections.
While his conscience objects, Peping agrees. But while the work involves
scaring a few small time hoods at first, things take a grim turn when he's
asked to tag along with Sarge (John Regala) and Kap (Julio Diaz) as they
collect a debt from Gina (Maria Isabel Lopez), a junkie streetwalker who
turns tricks under the name "Madonna." It soon becomes clear
that Gina can't pay what she owes and if Sarge can't get cash, he'll take
his payment in pain. He and his assistant Boy Chico (Lauren Novero) beat,
rape, torture, and butcher the woman in an abandoned house, and captive
Peping must assist in the gory crime. Adopted from Mark Deming, All Movie
