Title: Dynamics demography in lowland forest Kalimantan, Indonesia

Abstract:
Lowland forests Kalimantan represent western, southern and eastern of
Borneo’s forest ecosystem which are the hotspot of flora richness and
diversity. Three forest types are recognized on different hydrological
and soil conditions; heath, peat swamp and mixed dipterocarp forests.
These forest types are experiencing progressive conversion to palm oil
and rubber plantations, and also threatening by fire. Moreover it is
essential to evaluate these endangered ecosystems for management
planning. In this study, I focus on how trees grow, survive and recruit
in these forest types.
