報告要旨：
This paper presents an econometric analysis of impacts of genocide under the Pol Pot regime (1975-’79) in Cambodia on economic behaviors of survivors. Specifically, we focus on couples who had first child under and after the Pol Pot regime, and make econometric evaluations of impacts of the genocide on their educational investments for children after 1979. Our results suggest that the genocide had negative impacts on educational investments of the couples with first child under the Pol Pot regime, but no effect on those of the couples with first child after it. We consider those results, by reflecting upon social institutions and structures under and after the Pol Pot regime.
