Let's Watch Movies Together
This time, we will show a Filipino film by worldly famous director Lino Brocka entitled “Macho Dancer.”  By describing the life of male strippers, “ Macho Dancer”, the film reflects the various social issues in the Philippines such as “internal migration”, poverty”, and “political corruption”, etc. Open discussion will be held with comments by Dr. Shimizu Hiromu (Center for Southeast Asian Studies, Kyoto University), who specializes in Philippine Studies and Anthropology.
