- PUBLISHING IN ENGLISH -LANGUAGE ACADEMIC JOURNALS: SOME PRACTICAL GUIDELINES
- Publication -- in any language -- requires strong material, but the writing
conventions within different scholarly traditions are not all the same.
To publish in English it is an advantage to meet the expectations of various
gatekeepers (acquisitions editors, journal editors and referees), and to
avoid common mistakes that reduce the chances that a manuscript will be
accepted. This presentation will provide suggestions for the conceptualization
and submission of English-language journal articles, and identify practices
that should be avoided.
