  4. タイトル:Political Risk Analysis: The Case of Myanmar (Burma)
  5. 要旨:
  6. The recent changes in Myanmar are significantly serves as the foundation of a new paradigm for the country’s politics for no longer being as a black and white drama as it used to be perceived in the past. Instead, the political landscape of this country has morphed into a ‘grey’ scene with the reconciliation atmosphere of the two major factors, couple with the more positive involvement from other players from both domestic and international level. Though there is a long way to go as the change is essentially ‘nascent’, the global community gladly welcomes this change. However, the army will possibly not totally fade out its role from the politics, at least not within the next five to ten years from now. On the other hand, Aung San Suu Kyi and her supporters will likely be allowed to continue her fight for the democracy within the limitation designed by the government (on behalf of the army.) Comparatively, the situation and the prospect now in Myanmar are possibly more promising for investors than in the past although the democracy and human right issue will continuously call into questions. The next significant landmark leading to more dramatic change would be the general election that will take place in 2015.
