Impact of traditional agricultural tools on the development of agriculture in Myanmar

研究テーマ

"Development of Cropping Systems in Different Agro-ecological Regions in Myanmar": The diversity of climate and soil types in Myanmar favors the production of a relatively wide range of crops. A number of cropping systems, such as agricultural management technologies and cropping patterns have existed traditionally in different agro-ecological regions. Crops are still almost exclusively produced by indigenous farming methods which are most suitable for a particular agro-ecological setting. In order to increase crop productivity, information on traditional farmers’ technologies is of great importance.
