Thai Politics, State and Society, Local Politics, Informal Power
研究テーマ
My academic interests are in local politics, state-society relations and
informal political power. I mainly apply these fields in Thai political
studies. I currently conduct a few research projects related to Thai local
politics; (1) The Effect of Decentralization to the Power Structure in
Thai Local Politics, (2) The Political Process of Public Health Decentralization
in Thailand: Studying the Case of Primary Care Units, and (3) Democracy
in Thai Local Politics: Representative and Participatory Democracy. My
concern in all the projects is how the political change shaped the pattern
of local power as well as the pattern of state-society relation in Thailand.
アカデミック・キャリア
I am assistant professor at Department of Governments, Faculty of Political
Science, Chulalongkorn University where I teach courses in state-society,
comparative study of local politics and governments, and Thai local politics
and governments. I attended Ph.D. course at Graduate School of Law (Department
of Political Science), Kyoto University. As a Ph.D. candidate, I am submitting
a dissertation on ‘State and Influence People in Thailand’. I was visiting
researcher at Graduate School of Asian and African Area Studies (ASAFAS),
Kyoto University (2005-2006).
