As of January 1, 2017, the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) and the Center for Integrated Area Studies (CIAS) have merged under the Center name, Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) (in Japanese Tonan Asia Chiiki Kenkyu Kenkyusho).

The Centre for Southeast Asian Studies at Kyoto University proudly presents the new issue (20) of Kyoto review (September 2016) which focuses “Memory and History” of Southeast Asia. We have five articles by Vatthana Pholsena, Taylor M Easum, Boreth Ly, Malinee Khumsupa & Sudarat Musikawong, and Anne Yvonne Guillou–all are translated into Japanese, Thai and Bahasa Indonesian.
