CSEAS periodically accepts domestic and international post-doctoral fellows who are engaged in Southeast Asian studies including relevant research topics. Dozens of post-doctoral fellows have belonged to CSEAS, vigorously exchanging ideas and opinions, and actively promoting research activities. One of the advantages of a post-doctoral fellowship at CSEAS is to be able to acquire wider knowledge and new perspectives through the collaborative work on interdisciplinary research project and daily conversation with CSEAS members who have various disciplinary backgrounds.

Depending on the needs of projects and research themes, CSEAS provides post-doctoral fellows with working space and faculty-equivalent services of internet and library use. Most of the post-doctoral fellows are employed by external funds, and the recruitment procedure differs by funding sources. The recruitment announcement is periodically publicized on the CSEAS homepage.
